Congratulations to the following students on receiving the 2009 Caterpillar and Kabbes Undergraduate Excellence Award: Pamela Pimental, Rhoda Jamadar, and Hope Lancaster.

Leah Rubin was awarded first place in the Graduate Student Research Forum in the category for Humanities/Social Sciences/Business Practices. The presentation was based on her dissertation and was entitled, "Effects of estrogen and oxytocin on symptoms and social cognition in schizophrenia."

Congratulations to Amber Stone, a double-major in Psychology and Criminology, who won first place in the Humanities and Social Sciences Division at the UIC Research Forum on April 17, 2009! The title of Amber's presentation was "Severity of Violence Exposure and Proximity of the Perpetrator: The Impact on Child Behavior."

Congratulations to these four undergraduate psychology majors for winning the Nancy Hirschberg Memorial Grants for Undergraduate Research, in the amount of $200!
