Assistant Professor
The Psychology Department at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC), in conjunction with the Laboratory for Integrative Neuroscience (LIN), seeks a tenure-track, assistant professor to begin August, 2010, subject to budgetary approval. We seek a candidate using human subjects in concert with cutting-edge technologies such as, but not limited to, fMRI or other human brain imaging techniques; quantitative trait loci or the genotyping of targeted polymorphisms; pharmacological challenges; or transcranial magnetic stimulation. The successful candidate will complement existing strengths in the behavioral neuroscience of affect, motivation, perception, learning and decision-making. Candidates working in the emerging field of neuroeconomics are strongly encouraged to apply. The Behavioral Neuroscience group within Psychology (www.psch.uic.edu) is an integral part of the interdisciplinary LIN unit (www.uic.edu/las/LIN/) and supports the undergraduate and graduate programs in neuroscience (www.uic.edu/depts/neurosci/).
